How do you get your hair from an ugly wavy mess to stick straight hair??

I am so gald you asked this question. I have thick, long, wavy hair. I have finally found a way to make it shiny, beautiful, and stick straight.

1) Shampoo with Pantene Pro-V Smooth and Sleek Shampoo

2) Use a palmful of Pantene Pro-V Smooth and Sleek Conditioner

3) Let conditioner sit in hair for 3 min.

4) Brush out hair and let it air dry

5) Brush hair back and gather 2/3 of it and put it in a bun on top of your head.

6) Use a falt iron/straightener to straighten this section of hair

7) Repeat step 6 with another layer of hair

8) Once all hair is straightened, squirt Paul Mitchell SUPER Skinny Serum into palm

9) Rub hands together and put serum throughout hair using finger tips... avoid the roots so they do not get oily.

Thermal straightening is expensive, but it really works and it lasts until your hair grows out.

(note: NOT the same thing as chemical straightening)

Ok,

1. Wash and condition with a straightening shampoo and conditioner.

2. Put a "relaxing" cream in your hair

3. Either Blow dry your hair, using a big round brush and pull the hair down. or let it dry naturally.

4. In small sections, starting with the underside of the hair, use hot straightening tongs.

This should do it.

Here's my routine.

Shampoo %26amp; Condition

Towel dry as much as possible.

Spray John Freida straightening spray into damp hair.

Split hair into five sections %26amp; clip them up:

Front right

Front left

Thin top layer in the back - this one has to look GOOD

Middle layer in the back

Bottom layer

Starting with the bottom layer in the back, use a blowdryer and a FLAT brush (not round, I found mine at Target, it looks like a straightening iron, but it's a hogshair bristle brush) to pull thin sections of your hair taut %26amp; flat while you blow dry it. This makes my hair bouncy, but still straight. With the front sections, make sure you blow dry them the way you want them to lay. Separate them at your part.

If you want your hair super-flat then use the CHI straightening iron. I like the bouncy effect though, it's super trendy right now.

Don't straighten your hair!! I have the same hair hype. The best thing I can recommend is to use an excellent conditioner, to keep your hair fully hydrated. Do a hot oil treatment (organic olive oil) about once every two weeks. And keep your hair curly/wavy when you style it. Don't give into the straightening craze, it doesn't look good on everybody. Curly/wavy hair is beautiful.

use a lot of condishiner, and it will make it thiner and then straten it in small pieces, and then use a frizz product.

I HAVE VERY THICK HAIR TOO. I HIGHLY RECOMEND GOING INTO A BEAUTY SHOP EVEN A COST CUTTERS OR SOMETHING AND GET AN ANTI FRIZZ PRODUCT. I LOVE REDKIN GLASS OR BROCADO SHINE SPRAY IS HELPFUL. JC PENNY'S HAS SOMETHING LIKE THAT TOO. yOU CAN ALSO PUT IN HAIRSPRAY AND THEN CURL IT. I USE HOT ROLLARS. BY DOING THIS IT WILL SMOOTH YOUR HAIR EVEN IF YOU DON'T WEAR IT CURLY. ANOTHER THING YOU CAN DO IS A LEAVE IN CONDITIONER. THIS IS THE1ST TIME I GOTTEN ON LINE THIS WAY BUT I REMEMBER HOW FRUSTRATING MY THICK HAIR COULD BE WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. hmmm... you should consider investing in some product- I recommend garnier- they do some great mouses and serums that help in achieving a "wavy" look even on straight hair! To get a simple, instant perm, wash your hair in the morning, then without brushing it (while its still wet) scrunch your hair with your fingers and put it into a messy bun. By the evening, when you take your bun out, you'll find that your hair has nautrally set itself into gorgeous waves. It's an instant body creator for hair and very simple. good luck to you!! :)

Hey! Have you heard of the book Curly girl?? It is great! Also google it and go to the website, you will be surprised to find out that many many people have curly, or at least wavy hair, and don't know it due to the way they treat their hair. Wash your hair with conditioner, no shampoo, and work it into your scalp. Then drench your hair with more conditioner and rinse it out. Then take a good hair gel (the website tells you brands that work best) and work it through your hair while holding your head upside down. scrunch it all through your hair really really well. Let it dry this way. I do this and my hair is super curly. Otherwise, you would call my hair straight. Try it, you will be pleased! Hth!

Use a diffuser on your blow dryer and use a styling cream. Apply when your hair is wet and use the diffuser to scrunch up your hair while you are drying the product. Styling cream from Enjoy is great but if you just want something from a drug store a moose with hold should work good.

Wave it while it is wet and sit under a dryer. You can get finger waves which are generally kind of small or brush waves that are Large. You can also pin curl it. Just put the pin curls in opposite directions, for example, the first one start the pin curl going to the left and the one under it, start the pin curl going to the right.
