I have thick, straight hair, and I thought since school is starting soon, it would be good to try something new. I want to try wavy hair. I am going to wear it wavy for the last few weeks of summer so that way I can get used to it, and see if I like it that way. How do I get it to be wavy, since it's really long and thick, but I'm willing to try it.

i have long, thick hair too. i have permed hair ever since i was 6, and it stays permed, which is pretty cool.

so, the best way to curl your hair is to give it a perm first (never use the iron curler).

When showering, use extra body conditioner, leave it on for ten minutes, and then rinse it out.

just be careful not too pull at your hair too often when brushing.

Umm, you could probably use curlers, just curl it half way through. Or use a curling Iron, curling irons kan probably give you a wavy look too...

But for long lasting results i suggest you go to a parlor.

DON"T PERM! Just wet your hair and make many 1" braids and when done top off with pump hair spray, maybey gel. Do this right befor you sleep. I have been doing this for years undo the braids right befor your going to be seen in public. Don't comb it just run your fingers though it.

Actually what stupidvixen22 says about braiding your hair is true, and it works. But you can always go with a curling iron and lots of hair spray, try the T3 curling iron.

While your hair is still wet...put some mousse in your hands and rub your hands together. Then tilt your head to the side and scrunch your hair with your hands. Then let your hair dry naturally...it should come out wavy. Repeat the steps if you need to. Hope this helps!! Good Luck!!

moose and gel really help...ur hair feels stiff and hard but the style looks really cute what u do it when u get out the shower you put gel i your hands and rubs your hands together and just crimp it into ur hair...it looks soo cute trust me
