Well, the actual thickness of your hair won't change. But, use a good conditioner and shampoo like Redken AllSoft. As for straightening, there are a number of ways. You could get a perm (chemical treatment), using a straightening iron, or actually iron your hair with a traditional iron. Some people are able to blow dry their straight. As for thickness, try for manageability. Again Redken AllSoft works great. Shampoos with avacado in them usually do.

Gold plated work really good on my hair and I VERY LONG VERY wavy/curly hair...Revlon $20 bucks works like a charm..I fell in love with it the 2nd I used it and belive I have been trhough a lot of straightners plus it also makes my hair feel thinner without having to do anything to it.

go to wal mart and buy a straighting kit!!!! my friend does it and her hair turns out really pretty!!! or u could use straighting spray/gel and a straighting iron. a good straighting iron u can buy at wal mart is the kind u can use on both wet hair and dry hair.

Girl, you just need to get some fun products that PLAY UP your thick, wavy hair!! If you mess with it and try to make it something it's not, it'll just get damaged and look like poo. :) Try Bed Head stuff--they have some awesome products. It may need some layers...thick, wavy hair tends to grow into a triangle. Any salon can help.

i don't know y'd u want to do that either... but... if u want it permantly straight go to the hair salon and get this thing done called a rebound then all u have to do is blowdry your hair dry. if you want it temporaraly i recommend a chi straightener. and the thining part you can yank your hair out or once again just tell the hair salon people u want your hair thinned. and they will know hwat your talking about
