My hair is naturally wavy, I wondered if anyone had any home remedies or secrets to gettting straight hair without any chemicals or an iron..my hair has been damaged enough from those.

Use some type of leave in conditioner before you blow dry. When you blow dry your hair use the biggest round brush you can find. This gives you body while straightening your hair. I love Tigi's Afterparty. It's so good for your hair and it smells fantastic! Good Luck!

my hair is naturally wavy/curly. i have found the best way to deal with it is to... DEAL WITH IT. I don't know how long you've been battling your hair, but I finally realized that against my hair, trying to straighten it was a losing battle. My advice then? Learn to love what you've got. You're stuck with it.

That is not a wavy hair problem. That's a conformity problem. My home remedy is not straitening your hair.

Keeping hair well conditioned and hydrated helps it stay straight to some extent. So deep condition hair twice a week and use a moisturizing shampoo. Also, you can blow dry it at low settings using a straightening balm. That'd be least damaging way of getting straight hair. I use MOP balm, it's natural and does not contain bad chemicals.

you know, not all wavy hair is actually bad. Just try to make the best of it. Be yourself. be unique. Or you could just use sunsilk or something.

If it is just 'wavy', then it should be fairly easy to straighten. If not, a straightening iron is the only thing that will do the trick for poker straight hair. My hair is naturally curly (but I would say only 1 level over wavy) and I let it air dry. Then I use the Caruso curlers (it's steam so won't damage hair shaft) in large. I then take large sections of hair and roll them up. I don't let them sit long bc otherwise it will be curly. As soon as i finish doing my full head, I immediately take them out. All I am left with is bouncy, full hair w/movement. My hair is long, so maybe that helps pull some of the wave out after the curlers, but day 2, my hair is basically straight. If you don't like the wave bc of frizz, I would try Bumble %26amp; Bumble curl creme. It's heavy, but it will get rid of the frizz and make it easier to shape.
