well, you can scrunch it, or when you curl it, instead of clipping it into the curling iron, wrap it around. It's okay if the section twists, that makes it wavier and helps it hold.

when i get outta the shower i put in gell. scunch it up and it'll make waves. then spary ur hair with loose hair spray. it'll stay wavy but it'll also move with ur movement...i do it all the time and love it.

also u can do the same thing, but add a bump in the front. take the front section of ur hair, where the bangs r. pull them back and then push them forward just a little to have a bump hold in place w. hair clips

There was a ready made product available a few years ago, don't know if it still is, but basically to get that beachy windy look desolve salt in water and use a misting bottle to spritz your hair and scrunch - it has the same effect of the ocean breeze blowing a sea mist into your hair.
