okay.

spray some Air Wax on to your hair before straightnening.

but keep it at a distance, b/c if u have it too close, then ur hair will look REALLY greasy.

then straighten your hair, the wax should help most of it. and dont forget to go over nad over on the straightening.

then spray some after straightening products to help it keep in place.

you have to straighten in sections.

clip your hair up and start with the bottom layers and work your way up to the top of your head. This will ensure that you get all those layers in the middle of your head.

So, remember sections. Don't start with the top layer of your head! Start with the bottom and work your way up.

if your hair is course, use some hair protector... not too much you don't want it to look dirty.

go to a salon.

What you want to do is do it in LAYERS!!! You think its straight...but put the top layer up...just what you started with. :]

Tips on straightening hair?

you'll just need to straighten it in sections and do it slowly over the hair but never hold it on one spot. there are creams and serums you can use before and after straightening. use sunsilk straight iron effect straightening cream before straightenin your hair(put it on damp hair). then after straightening use a no frizz serum or whatever serum you can get. then use the cold tool on your blowdryer , this is what keeps hairstyles to stay all day and look silky and not be frizzy. trust me it will help i do it every time i straighten my hair.

hope that helps . good luck!

I had the same problem. First blow dry your hair straight. (i do mine upside down to add some volume. Then wait a bit to let your hair rest and cool down then run a flat iron through it. You can also add just a tiny bit of hair spray to lock in the style.

These are the products i use when i straighten my hair:

- Sunsilk straightening Shampoo and Conditioner (its in the purple bottle).

- Sunsilk straightening cream (also in the purple bottle. I use this before i blow dry my hair and i use a tiny little bit after i flat iron my hair.)

-V05 Heat protecting Spray (i use this before i blow dry my hair [after the sunsilk cream] and before i flat iron it).

-Suave Hair Spray

#2 dab a little of the heat protectant straighting cream in sections and flat iron.

first off, pin staright hair is becoming out of style. But if you still want it, blow-dry your hair with a comb hair dryer.

then, put a heat protective serum in your hair that will prevent it from frying, or a gel that helps to straighten hair, and focus on your ends. Then, using a thin straightener, straight about 1-inch sections of your hair all the way through. Hope this helps.

If your happy with your flat iron, keep using it but if your looking for a real good one, I'd suggest the Chi 1" flat iron. I have one and love it. I too, have thick, wavy hair and the Chi iron makes it so smooth. It also helps to make sure you are getting the right kind of haircut for your hair type but assuming all that, after you wash your hair, put a leave in conditioner in to help smoothen it then blow dry it in sections with a round brush. After all your hair is dry, use the flat iron in sections, from the bottom up. When your all done, put some biosilk in and you'll be on your way to beautiful silky smooth hair.

This is easy. Use a straightening shampoo and conditioner (Ion or Beyond the Zone at Sally Beauty Supply). Straightening balm (Ion, BTZ) or foam (BTZ). Blow dry with round boar bristle (Ion purple one). Don't get the Bed Head iron, it isn't as good as some of the ones at Sally. I have the Ion conditioning flat iron (on sale for 76 from 90 this month). Use a heat protection spray. Flat iron from bottom up in sections.

When straightening it don't go over it too fast. I use Sedu and have wavy hair and can get my hair pin straight.
