My hair wont straighten?

ok well i got a haircut and i tried strait ironing it this morning..... it wouldnt work! i have wavy hair and it NEVER works wen i try strait ironing it! wen my stylist does it, it always works! well also my stylist messed didnt do the style hair i wanted....i kinda wanted scenish hair and all he did was put sidebangs and shorten my hair and put MORE layers, so im gonna go back there and tell them 2 do it exactly the way it is in the picture but im afraid my hair wont straiten even if i redo it.... my hair rite now is sholder length...

do u guys think u know y my hair isnt straitening? and also do u have any good ideas 4 short scene hair that would b easy 2 straiten???

Tell this to your hair stylist:

I want my bottom layers thinned out %26amp; more top layers.

%26amp; razorblad my sidebangs.

%26amp; tell him/her not to cut off any length

If your hair doesn't straighten after that then you'll need a better flat iron.

try buying a better straightener. one that your stylist used. they prob run really high, but it's definately worth it.

Maybe your hair straightener isn't getting hot enough?

The most likely answer is either that your straightener isn't a good one, or that you aren't using it right.

If you have a good straightener that is big enough, gets really hot (mine has 30 settings), has ion protection (so your hair doesn't get too messed up) and has ceramic or gold plates, you should be good.

To straighten your hair, make sure you hold it for long enough. Work from the bottom layers to the top layers (pin the top layers up while you work with the bottom layers and let a new layer down each time you're done with one). I have pretty wavy/curly hair and if I want it to lay flat when it's straight I have to make sure to super-iron the bottom layers.

Also, make sure you're not ironing sections that are too big (the hair doesn't get hot enough if the sections aren't rather small). Make sure you hold the hair long enough in the straightener. It takes a while to do it right, but the result is definitely worth it.

And don't forget to use some kind of straightening spray to protect your hair and keep it looking shiny.
