I suggest getting the CHI Silk Infusion and rubbing it throughout the hair (anywhere from a dime size amount to a quarter size amount, depending on how long your hair is). It is not greasy and is healthy. Next get a heat protecting spray (like Aveda Brilliant Damage Control or Motions Heat Protector- both are not heavy or sticky on the hair). After you section your hair, make sure you LIGHTLY spray the heat protecting spray on your hair before putting the flat iron through it. I LOVE my CHI flat iron. It is ceramic, which is less damaging to the hair and it leaves the hair silky. Make sure you straighten a thin amount of hair, not chunky. Otherwise, your hair won't come out as straight. As a tip, you can turn the CHI flat iron like a curling iron when you get toward the end of your strands and the ends come out really pretty and natural looking. When done straightening the entire head, THEN apply a dime size amount of Farouk BioSilk Silk Therapy. Whalaa, your hair feels really smooth and smells pretty. Most importantly, it is healthy!! Yes, your hair will stay straight all day . Good luck!

there are plenty of sprays to use before you straighten your hair, but also you can get your hair chemically relaxed if you go to your hairdresser.

I have naturally curly/ wavy hair. I got a semi-permanent straightener put in by my hairdresser. I absolutely love it! It works wonders...I got it about 7 weeks ago and it is still straight!

I use a straightening spray and a flat iron on my hair. Do small sections at a time... I wouldn't recommend straightening every day. It is very hard on your hair....Don't use the chemical straightener they sell at the store it fried my hair and didn't straighten it (still wavy as it always was) and it was on the minimum amount of time.

Use a ceramic flat iron. You do not have to add product. Just put dry hair up in a clip and start taking small sections and going over them with the iron slowly. Continue until all is done.

NOOOOO... don't straighten it. Curly hair is beautiful.

Yes!! if you have a thick hair diameter, try easy straight 3 month straightener available in most beauty supply and drug stores, but first try getting a ceramic flat iron. dry your hair till it is 75% dry then use the iron. don't use any products on your hair till done, it will damage the hair and try using one of those brushes that look like a flat iron with bristles. go to folica on the web and look up flat irons, there you will find reviews and tips and advice. i have the worst hair ever and now it is straight, shiny and swingy---and healthy! the irons are all different prices, start with a cheap one from the drugstore--as long as it is ceramic. i like the hot tools ceramic--but am saving for a sedu because they say it does not catch and pull the hair. good luck!

I have very wavy hair too.

This is what I do:

Wash It

Put Dove Antifrizz Serum.

Blow Dry It.

I put half of it in a bun on the top of my head and straighten that part.

I put the rest of it down and then striaghten that.

I go to sleep.

Then in the morning all I have to do is go over it a couple of times,, It only takes like 5 mins.

You could get it Japanesed straightened at a salon, but it cost about $1000. The best way is to find a really good brand of a straightening iron and use a special spray to put on before you use your iron (that way it stays in place). i would recommend the brand Remington for a straightening iron. fyi-Conair doesn't work too well

Sure, it's called a Reverse Perm. It can be done in a Hairdressing Salon or at home. Buy a regular perm. Bend over the sink and saturate your hair thoroughly, than comb, comb, comb until you're sure it's all straight. Rinse and there you go! Then you can put on the conditioner, just follow the directions. To explain the process: to get a perm, your hair is wrapped in perm rods, the chemical solution in the perm binds your hair into the position of the rods, therefore the curls. With no rods, your hair will get no curl, just straighten out. Good luck!

There is not a certain way to straighten it but there is a straightener called the CHI and its THE BEST it works great trust me my hair is like two inches longer when i straighten it with that thing. They have it in all the salons and it protects during the day against humidity...Unless you get it wet it should stay straight as a pin all day. You might want to look into though they are kind of pricey. There are also several kinds but if you go to a beauty shop they can have someone help you pick the right one for your hair out! hope I helped!.......IF you really love your hair straight you can look into having it chemically straightened...It probably wont make your hair totally straight but it will make it easier to straighten. But there is always a down side cause that is permantent (till you hair grows out so you would ahve to suffer you locks) and it is also expensive.

I would recommend getting it professionally straightened. I have tried doing my hair at home with flat irons, serums, etc. and all I ever end up with is broken hair! those John Frieda products broke my hair in handfuls. Since then, I have learned to live with my waves and have a nice long layered cut to make my hair more managable - maybe you should try this instead of fighting with your hair everyday. But I understand where you are coming from.
